Church: Condoms Don’t Stop AIDS

September 2nd, 2008

The disinformation from the Catholic church continues. This time, they are trying to continue their anti-contraceptive campaign by saying condoms don’t help with AIDS prevention. It’s frustrating enough seeing how delusional these guys are with their inane religion, but then they start trying to act smart in other fields as well when they clearly are ignorant of any facts. The sad part is, the teeming masses listen to these con artists and take their words as the truth.

The Church is making the claims despite a widespread scientific consensus that condoms are impermeable to HIV which causes Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines backs the claims about permeable condoms, despite assurances by the Department of Health (DOH) that they are untrue.

Of course, they make their claims based off no actual research whatsoever. They think it’s as simple as, “your word against mine.” Also notice how they debunk science altogether. If it’s outside the realm of their stupid Bible, it can’t be true. I wonder what the Bible actually says about condoms and how they base their hatred for contraception from that stupid book.

CBCP’s Episcopal Commission on Family and Life executive secretary Fr. Melvin Castro said: “They are wrong about that… this is an easily recognizable fact.”

WTF!?!?!? Just like that, eh?

Castro cited the case in African countries and Thailand where AIDS is prevalent than ever even if they’ve been promoting the use of condoms.

Uh…. Dumbass Mr. Castro, did you bother to find out what percentage of their AIDS cases actually used condoms when they contracted the disease? Just because a country promotes the use of condoms, it doesn’t necessarily mean that everybody uses it. I know of one country in particular where the Catholic church and continually tells the Filipinos that condoms are evil. So even if the government promotes their use, the brainwashed idiots won’t abide.

“The authorities are giving the people false assurances that using condoms for safe sex. There can never be safe sex,” the priest said.

He called on the government to stop promoting “false security” to the people that condom will solve the problem on the deadly virus.

Another WTF moment from the Catholic church. A clear case of the cauldron calling the kettle black. No such thing as safe sex? I guess I should stop banging my wife, then.

Nobody says that condoms are guaranteed protection. It’s not 100%. Even if it’s just a 1% chance of helping, though… it does help, dumbass.

Break

September 2nd, 2008

I took a few days off. My blood pressure’s been shooting through the roof and I needed some time out. I’ve got an aneurysm risk and need to keep things calm. Here’s to a healthy lifestyle… nah. I’ll get over it. Let me test the waters for a few days.

The time off was pretty good. I noticed yesterday when I laid down to sleep that there was no pain in my brain. That hasn’t happened in quite a while as is evident by my actually noticing that all was normal. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end and I’ve got to start trying to earn a buck again.

It would be cool if I won the lottery. Maybe I can pray for it.

Nah, that never works.

Somebody Please…

August 28th, 2008

…Knock some sense into this guy.

Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines’ head Archbishop Angel Lagdameo has offered a prayer for peace in the Philippines. That’s right, a prayer. Can you feel the love? Offer a prayer for the Muslim south. Nice. I feel all fuzzy inside.

Doesn’t he know that prayer has never and will never work for affecting peace? In fact, it causes wars. Grow up, old man.

Philippine Reproductive Health Bill (Update)

August 28th, 2008

The main proponent for the Reproductive Health Bill, Representative Edcel Lagman says that the Catholic church’s evil plots to misinform the public and scare off lawmakers is not working.

They did scare off two deluded cowards congressmen with their threats of excommunication (for those of you who don’t know, that’s like a Jesus enema). In the last two days alone, however, seventeen new supporters have become co-authors of the bill! You go girls! …And guys…

“I am really confident that with my colleagues’ support and the Speaker’s [Prospero Nograles] commitment that this should be deliberated immediately, the pressure [from the Catholic leaders] appears to have no effect on House members,” Lagman said.

Rep. Lagman says he expects the bill to pass the House before the year ends. I certainly hope so.

So, That Part of My Life Is Over

August 28th, 2008

I just resigned from my job. I gave the boss till the end of the month to find a replacement. It’s been a long time coming, I’m worn out and need something new.

So now I find myself unemployed. Not a very comfortable situation to be in in the Philippines. I just gotta work the want ads, I guess.

If you know anybody who needs any web development done, let me know. As you can see by this site, I have no artistic talent, whatsoever, but at least I can code. My resume can be found on www.GarciaRamon.com. Any referrals will be greatly appreciated.
