A stillborn, 600 gram, Israeli baby, the result of a forced abortion spent over five hours in a freezer after being declared dead only to show signs of life later on.

“We don’t know how to explain this, so when we don’t know how to explain things in the medical world we call it a miracle, and this is probably what happened,” hospital deputy director Moshe Daniel said.

Very good, Mr. Daniel, what a profound statement. I doubt that Mr. Daniel is a doctor, probably just a pencil pushing religious freak. Now, we’ve got a problem on our hands. Whatever religion the child’s parents subscribe to is going to go ape shit over this.

The baby was then taken to the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit for further treatment, but doctors were not sure how long she will live.

But… but… what about the “miracle?” I guess it will fit into any god’s personality to take away the same child from her parents, not once, but twice! We’ll just have to wait and see how the child does.

Motti Ravid, a professor of internal medicine, told Israel’s Channel 10 that the low temperature inside the cooler had slowed down the baby’s metabolism and likely helped her survive.

That’s better. Thanks for the rational thinking Mr. Ravid. You chose knowledge over surrendering to the easy way out and just saying “Miracle.”
