Wooowooo!
Well, it’s my turn to be interviewed by The Atheist Spot. I guess I constitute their “less prominent” bloggers.
It’s pretty cool, I was very flattered when Lenny asked me if I’d like to participate. Also, it’s great to be a part of group including Craig James, Vjack, Division by Zero and Adrian Hayter.
Thanks for the warm fuzzies, The Atheist Spot!

The son of a leader of the Palestinian Islamic group Hamas has renounced Islam to move to America and become an evangelical Christian.
Why, oh why? You were so close, you almost made the right choice. Instead, you choose to join a different freak show.
Mosab Hassan Yousef says he does not advocate the “collapse of Islam,” but rather for people to acknowledge that after 1,400 years “it’s not working any more.” What makes you think that Christianity is “working?” It’s all myth and you’ve substituted one fairy tale for another.
If you’re to put your family through all the grief you’re doing now, at least do it for the right reasons. Not “Christianity makes me feel all fuzzy inside.”
Dude, you’ve got a lot to learn about Christianity.

A stillborn, 600 gram, Israeli baby, the result of a forced abortion spent over five hours in a freezer after being declared dead only to show signs of life later on.
“We don’t know how to explain this, so when we don’t know how to explain things in the medical world we call it a miracle, and this is probably what happened,” hospital deputy director Moshe Daniel said.
Very good, Mr. Daniel, what a profound statement. I doubt that Mr. Daniel is a doctor, probably just a pencil pushing religious freak. Now, we’ve got a problem on our hands. Whatever religion the child’s parents subscribe to is going to go ape shit over this.
The baby was then taken to the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit for further treatment, but doctors were not sure how long she will live.
But… but… what about the “miracle?” I guess it will fit into any god’s personality to take away the same child from her parents, not once, but twice! We’ll just have to wait and see how the child does.
Motti Ravid, a professor of internal medicine, told Israel’s Channel 10 that the low temperature inside the cooler had slowed down the baby’s metabolism and likely helped her survive.
That’s better. Thanks for the rational thinking Mr. Ravid. You chose knowledge over surrendering to the easy way out and just saying “Miracle.”

A question has been asked: Does an atheist believe in the existence of evil? Where does evil originate?
I believe “Evil” as a noun does not exist. Now, there are moral acts and immoral acts and the term “evil” then gets used as an adjective.
Morality is a personal thing, and is thereby subjective. It develops through one’s own experiences and it’s state depends on one’s surroundings at any given time and may change as the need arises. One may think that murder is an evil act, but there are some situations where it could be justified and is, in the murderer’s perspective, at least, morally correct. For instance, if you have prior knowledge of a potentially catastrophic event, you may plot the murder of the instigators to prevent it from happening. Does that make you “evil?”
The morality and immorality of an act is purely dependent on the subject’s perspective and current situation. There’s no clear-cut rules of what’s right and wrong at any time. It is in my opinion that, so long as your conscience tells you something is good, then it’s good.
Being non-existed, evil never originated from anything.

I was out the whole day yesterday. We left home early in the morning to travel to a province and attend the baptism of my friend’s daughter, where I was asked to be her godfather.
We got stuck in traffic and got there midway through the ceremony. I only got there in time to hear the last half of the priest’s bullshitting and hold on to a candle. I couldn’t understand a thing the guy was saying. He was mumbling the whole time. It’s hard to grasp how people could follow something like that. He leaves his audience to come up with their own deluded thoughts, which is probably why there is so much inconsistency all over their religion. They encourage lack of understanding. After all, once a person truly understands what’s going on, he will no longer be a Christian. I digress.
Immediately after the ceremony, we proceeded to the reception, which was the only part of the whole affair worth attending. Free food is always good. After stuffing myself, I asked a friend who was oblivious of my atheism what had happened before we had arrived.
He said it was all good up till the point where the actual baptism began. The baby was all fine in the beginning. Then came the time to pour water on her forehead and all hell broke loose. The baby was inconsolable from that point onwards. Sure, everyone would say that her cries were just a result of being wet, but I like to think of it as the child’s dismay at being cursed with Catholicism. With the pouring of that water, she’s doomed to spend the next several years of her life in a steady and continuous process of brainwashing. The indoctrination process has begun and she’s helpless to stop it.
Her family will make her pray at regular intervals. She’ll be taken to church to be assaulted by bullshit by the priests (who are unintelligible). She’ll be sent to Catholic school where the indoctrination will continue.
We can only hope that as her knowledge increases, she is able to resist the lies that will be fed to her all through her life beginning today. Luckily, she has her godfather, Ramon, to help her out.
