Ramon Garcia
I’m Ramon Garcia, I’ve been an atheist for my entire adult life, disavowing all forms of theism from the time I was in high school, over twenty years ago. It wasn’t a conscious decision, I didn’t really want to “become an atheist,” I simply got disgusted with all aspects of religion and stopped believing in any of it.
Strangely enough, I still retain more morals than anybody I know, most of which claim to be Catholic. If one’s religion is a measure of one’s morality, then religion is truly the cause of the Philippine’s immoral state.
I am married to a Baptist, Christian wife. We have an unspoken understanding that neither of us can convert the other to our beliefs. We have a beautiful daughter, who we both influence with our thoughts, when appropriate and who will be able to choose her beliefs, if any, when she is of age.
As mentioned earlier, more than simply not believing in anything attributed to religion, I am against anything to do with religion. This goes to the point of unbridled hate and loathing of all religion, particularly as it is practiced in the Philippines.
The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, however, is an entirely different matter.
